Fire doors for Cardiff buildings
Our fire door installation service covers Cardiff and the wider South Glamorgan area. Every job starts with a survey of the openings, so the quote reflects your actual doors rather than a guess.
Fire doors in Cardiff protect escape routes in converted flats, mixed-use office buildings and schools alike. We adapt the programme to the building and its occupants, never the standard of the installation.
Who is responsible for fire doors in Cardiff?
Fire door responsibilities in Cardiff sit with whoever controls the building: an employer or occupier, a freeholder or managing agent, a landlord or a homeowner. We can work directly for any of them, or alongside their fire risk assessor.

Rules and responsibilities in Cardiff
Cardiff is in Wales, where new and replacement fire doors are covered by the Building Regulations 2010 as applied in Wales, with the Welsh Approved Document B as guidance. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 also applies, so responsible persons in workplaces and the common parts of blocks must keep fire doors maintained.
One difference from England: regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, with its quarterly and annual fire door checks, does not apply in Wales. Your fire risk assessment sets the checking regime instead, and we work to it.
