Fire door repairs and remedial works for Cardiff buildings
Looking for fire door repairs and remedial works in Cardiff? We supply and fit certified fire doors and components across Cardiff and the wider South Glamorgan area, working from a free survey and a fixed written quote.
Fire doors in Cardiff protect escape routes in student accommodation, care homes and shared houses alike. We adapt the programme to the building and its occupants, never the standard of the installation.
Many repairs in Cardiff can be completed in a single visit once matching components are on site. Send us the inspection report for your Cardiff building and we will price the remedial actions line by line.
What cannot be repaired
Doors with major splits, burns, delamination, large unapproved holes, or gaps far beyond what the certification allows usually need replacing. Paint and filler cannot fix a structural problem in a fire door.
What you get:
- Hinge, screw and latch repairs
- Closer replacement and adjustment
- Seal, strip and pad replacement
- Line-by-line pricing from your inspection report
Which fire door rules apply in Cardiff?
Fire door work in Cardiff follows Welsh building regulations and the Welsh Approved Document B. The Fire Safety Order 2005 covers workplaces and the shared parts of residential buildings here too, placing the duty on the responsible person.
The English regulation 10 checking regime does not extend to Cardiff, so how often doors are checked comes from the fire risk assessment. We hand over evidence that fits whatever regime your assessor sets.

Questions
Is Cardiff within your coverage area?
It is. We cover Cardiff in South Glamorgan and neighbouring towns such as Penarth. There is no charge for the survey.
How quickly can you survey in Cardiff?
It depends on the number of doors and access, but we offer survey dates as soon as we reply to your enquiry. If an inspection has found urgent safety issues, tell us and we'll prioritise.
How quickly can remedials be done?
Many defects can be fixed in one visit once components are on site. We prioritise the most serious safety issues first.
Can large gaps around a fire door be fixed?
Sometimes. Small gap problems can often be corrected by adjusting hinges or approved edge repairs. Gaps far beyond the certification usually mean the door or frame must be replaced.
