Certified fire doorsets in Gwynedd: what's involved
Our certified fire doorsets service covers all of Gwynedd, across postcode districts including LL23, LL78 and LL57.
Every doorset we fit in Gwynedd is handed over with its certificate reference and photographs of the frame fixing and gap sealing. Pre-hung doorsets keep disruption down in occupied buildings in Gwynedd, with less cutting and fewer return visits.
Managing agents, landlords, schools, care providers, businesses and homeowners in Gwynedd can all use one team for survey, supply, installation and evidence. We plan work around occupants and hand over a record for every door.
What does third-party certification mean?
Third-party certification means an independent body has checked the product's test evidence and audits the factory that makes it. Certified products carry a label or plug on the door edge and a certificate you can check. Buyers often look for schemes such as BWF Certifire or BM TRADA Q-Mark when choosing products. Our guide to certified doorsets explains how to read the label and certificate.
What the rules say for Gwynedd
Fire door work in Gwynedd follows Welsh building regulations and the Welsh Approved Document B. The Fire Safety Order 2005 covers workplaces and the shared parts of residential buildings here too, placing the duty on the responsible person.
The English regulation 10 checking regime does not extend to Gwynedd, so how often doors are checked comes from the fire risk assessment. We hand over evidence that fits whatever regime your assessor sets.

Yes. We cover all of Gwynedd. Surveys and written quotes are free.
How long do doorsets take to arrive?
Lead times depend on the manufacturer, size, finish and ironmongery. Standard sizes can be quick; bespoke sizes and finishes take longer. We give you the lead time with the quote and confirm it at order.
Do doorsets come painted?
They can be supplied primed, factory painted, veneered, laminated or with a composite skin, depending on the product. Factory finishes avoid painting over seals and labels on site.
