Riser and cupboard fire doors in Powys

What riser and cupboard fire doors in Powys should include

We provide riser and cupboard fire doors across Powys, covering 18 postcode districts from LD1 to SY22.

While fitting riser doors in Powys, we photograph any gaps in fire stopping we can see and pass them on to you. We match riser doors in Powys to the rating of the riser enclosure, not to whatever was there before.

Managing agents, landlords, schools, care providers, businesses and homeowners in Powys can all use one team for survey, supply, installation and evidence. We plan work around occupants and hand over a record for every door.

Closer or lock?

Doors on stores and risers that are kept locked shut usually do not need a self-closer, as long as the strategy allows it and the door is marked accordingly. Doors that are used regularly, such as cleaner's stores, usually do. We follow the fire strategy and the risk assessment for each opening.

Fire door law for Powys properties

Fire door work in Powys follows Welsh building regulations and the Welsh Approved Document B. The Fire Safety Order 2005 covers workplaces and the shared parts of residential buildings here too, placing the duty on the responsible person.

The English regulation 10 checking regime does not extend to Powys, so how often doors are checked comes from the fire risk assessment. We hand over evidence that fits whatever regime your assessor sets.
