What fire door repairs and remedial works in Powys should include
We provide fire door repairs and remedial works across Powys, covering 18 postcode districts from LD1 to SY22.
Send us the inspection report for your Powys building and we will price the remedial actions line by line. We prioritise the most serious defects in your Powys building first and return evidence against each action.
Wherever your building is in Powys, the fire safety duties come from national rules, and our installation standard is the same.
What cannot be repaired
Doors with major splits, burns, delamination, large unapproved holes, or gaps far beyond what the certification allows usually need replacing. Paint and filler cannot fix a structural problem in a fire door.
Which fire door rules apply in Powys?
Because Powys is in Wales, we work to the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales and to the Welsh version of Approved Document B. The responsible person duties under the Fire Safety Order 2005 still apply to workplaces and common parts.
England's fire door checking rules for tall residential buildings do not apply in Wales, so the checking frequency for doors in Powys comes from your fire risk assessment.

Questions
Do you provide fire door repairs and remedial works across Powys?
Yes. We cover all of Powys. Surveys and written quotes are free.
Can large gaps around a fire door be fixed?
Sometimes. Small gap problems can often be corrected by adjusting hinges or approved edge repairs. Gaps far beyond the certification usually mean the door or frame must be replaced.
Do you use original manufacturer parts?
We use components that match the door's certification, which is often the manufacturer's own parts or products listed in its evidence.
