Fire doors for Bridgend buildings
When you book fire door installation in Bridgend, the aim is simple: doors that close, latch and seal as tested, with records that prove it.
Bridgend has a broad mix of buildings, including care homes, family homes after loft conversions and small offices, and the same fire door principles apply to all of them.
Who is responsible for fire doors in Bridgend?
Whether you manage care homes, run family homes after loft conversions or own a single property, the fire doors in it need to close, latch and seal as tested. We plan work in Bridgend so escape routes stay protected while we are on site.

The regulations behind fire doors in Bridgend
Because Bridgend is in Wales, we work to the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales and to the Welsh version of Approved Document B. The responsible person duties under the Fire Safety Order 2005 still apply to workplaces and common parts.
England's fire door checking rules for tall residential buildings do not apply in Wales, so the checking frequency for doors in Bridgend comes from your fire risk assessment.
Bridgend and neighbouring towns
We also cover towns near Bridgend, including Maesteg (12.8 km away), Tonypandy and Rhondda. If your building is in CF31 or a neighbouring district, the service and pricing are the same.
Questions from Bridgend
Is Bridgend within your coverage area?
It is. We cover Bridgend in Mid Glamorgan and neighbouring towns such as Maesteg. There is no charge for the survey.
Do I need to be there for the survey?
Someone needs to give us access to the doors. For blocks and commercial buildings, a caretaker or site contact is fine; for HMOs and homes, we agree a time with you or your tenants.
