Commercial fire doors: our service in Aberdeen
When you book commercial fire doors in Aberdeen, the aim is simple: doors that close, latch and seal as tested, with records that prove it.
Around Aberdeen, HMOs, industrial units and schools all depend on fire doors that close, latch and seal. We survey each opening and tell you plainly which doors need work and which don't.
Offices, shops and hotels in Aberdeen can have fire doors fitted out of hours so trading is not interrupted. For commercial buildings in Aberdeen, we coordinate access control and alarm interfaces before the doors arrive.
Doors that look the part and still perform
Commercial interiors often need veneered, laminated or painted finishes, glazing, push plates, kick plates and signage. All of this is possible on a fire door, provided every element is covered by the doorset's certification. We specify the finish and hardware at the outset so nothing has to be improvised on site.
As standard, the work covers:
- Hold-open devices linked to the fire alarm
- Glazed and solid options to certification
- Per-door evidence for your fire risk assessment
- Out-of-hours and phased working
The regulations behind fire doors in Aberdeen
Scottish rules apply to fire doors in Aberdeen. The Technical Handbooks under the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004 set the standard for new and altered doors, and the local authority issues building warrants where they are needed. Workplaces and other non-domestic premises are covered by the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005.
Residential common parts in Aberdeen are treated differently from England, so we check the fire risk assessment and any landlord or factor requirements before specifying work.
