What riser and cupboard fire doors in Castlereagh should include
For property owners, landlords and managing agents in Castlereagh, we offer riser and cupboard fire doors with one team for the survey, the product and the installation.
Around Castlereagh, schools, care homes and low-rise blocks of flats all depend on fire doors that close, latch and seal. We survey each opening and tell you plainly which doors need work and which don't.
Riser and meter cupboard doors in Castlereagh blocks are easy to overlook until an inspection flags them. While fitting riser doors in Castlereagh, we photograph any gaps in fire stopping we can see and pass them on to you.
Closer or lock?
Doors on stores and risers that are kept locked shut usually do not need a self-closer, as long as the strategy allows it and the door is marked accordingly. Doors that are used regularly, such as cleaner's stores, usually do. We follow the fire strategy and the risk assessment for each opening.
As standard, the work covers:
- Single and double flush configurations
- Record of any fire stopping concerns found
- Locks and keep-locked arrangements as specified
- Signage as required

Questions
Do you cover BT6 and nearby postcodes?
Yes. We cover Castlereagh including BT6, and nearby towns such as Belfast and Newtownabbey. The survey and written quote are free.
Can you work from an existing inspection report for my Castlereagh building?
Yes. Send it over and we can often price straight from it, then confirm on site. We report back against the same door references so you can close actions off.
Can I use a standard access panel for a riser?
Only if it is a fire-rated product with evidence for the wall rating. Many ordinary access panels and cupboard doors are not fire rated.
Do you fix fire stopping inside risers?
Fire stopping is a separate specialist trade. We record anything we see while fitting doors and can coordinate with your fire stopping contractor.
