In and around Isleworth, fire door work covers everything from care homes to mixed-use office buildings. We plan each job around the people who use the building.
Send us the inspection report for your Isleworth building and we will price the remedial actions line by line. Many repairs in Isleworth can be completed in a single visit once matching components are on site.
What cannot be repaired
Doors with major splits, burns, delamination, large unapproved holes, or gaps far beyond what the certification allows usually need replacing. Paint and filler cannot fix a structural problem in a fire door.
On a typical job that means:
- Seal, strip and pad replacement
- Closer replacement and adjustment
- Re-glazing to the original system
- Before-and-after photos per door
Fire door law for Isleworth properties
The rules that apply to fire doors in Isleworth are England's. The responsible person under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 must keep fire doors in non-domestic premises and the common parts of flats in working order; the Fire Safety Act 2021 confirmed that this includes flat entrance doors onto common parts. In London, the London Fire Brigade is the enforcing authority for fire safety law.
Where a Isleworth block is above 11 metres, regulation 10 of the 2022 regulations means communal doors are checked every three months and flat entrance doors annually on a best-endeavours basis. Replacement doors must also satisfy the Building Regulations, with Approved Document B as the guidance most building control bodies work from.
Who needs fire door repairs and remedial works in Isleworth?
From care homes to blocks of flats, the requirement for fire door repairs and remedial works in Isleworth comes from the fire strategy or risk assessment for the building. We work from that document, or help you interpret your inspection report, before quoting.

Common questions
Do you cover TW7 and nearby postcodes?
Yes. We cover Isleworth including TW7, and nearby towns such as Hounslow and Heston. The survey and written quote are free.
What happens on a survey in Isleworth?
We look at every door in scope: the leaf, frame, gaps, seals, hinges, closer, glazing and how the frame is fixed. You then get a written quote that prices each door separately.
Can I paint over intumescent strips?
Painting over smoke seals stops them working, and heavy paint can affect intumescent strips. Damaged or painted seals should be replaced with the specified type.
Do you use original manufacturer parts?
We use components that match the door's certification, which is often the manufacturer's own parts or products listed in its evidence.
