Getting fire door repairs and remedial works right in Wrexham
We provide fire door repairs and remedial works in Wrexham (LL13 and the surrounding postcodes), from the first survey through to a documented handover.
In and around Wrexham, fire door work covers everything from high-street shops to low-rise blocks of flats. We plan each job around the people who use the building.
We prioritise the most serious defects in your Wrexham building first and return evidence against each action. Many repairs in Wrexham can be completed in a single visit once matching components are on site.
Working from your inspection report
Send us your inspection report or fire risk assessment actions. We price each defect line by line, carry out the work, and return a record of what was done to each door, with before and after photographs, so you can close the actions off.
What you get:
- Line-by-line pricing from your inspection report
- Re-glazing to the original system
- Hinge, screw and latch repairs
- Seal, strip and pad replacement
Which fire door rules apply in Wrexham?
Because Wrexham is in Wales, we work to the Building Regulations as they apply in Wales and to the Welsh version of Approved Document B. The responsible person duties under the Fire Safety Order 2005 still apply to workplaces and common parts.
England's fire door checking rules for tall residential buildings do not apply in Wales, so the checking frequency for doors in Wrexham comes from your fire risk assessment.

In Wrexham, as anywhere, the duty holder varies: a responsible person for a workplace, a landlord or managing agent for a block or HMO, or a homeowner after building work. Questions from Wrexham
Do you work in Wrexham?
Yes, we take on fire door repairs and remedial works in Wrexham and the surrounding area, including Rhosllannerchrugog and Buckley. Send your postcode and a few details and we'll come back with survey dates.
What happens on a survey in Wrexham?
We look at every door in scope: the leaf, frame, gaps, seals, hinges, closer, glazing and how the frame is fixed. You then get a written quote that prices each door separately.
Can I paint over intumescent strips?
Painting over smoke seals stops them working, and heavy paint can affect intumescent strips. Damaged or painted seals should be replaced with the specified type.
Do you use original manufacturer parts?
We use components that match the door's certification, which is often the manufacturer's own parts or products listed in its evidence.
